Equally, for foreign students, they need to know not just about vocabulary but how and why vocabulary “hangs” in a certain way within a sentence. In my teaching experience, grammar has been difficult from the standpoint of getting the student to agree with the fact that it is important. I say “surprisingly” because they have made fun of my Catalan accent since I can remember, as it is more of a mix of accents put into one.
