This unit tackles how teachers should approach teaching vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions in the classroom. The unit delves specifically into what is important when teaching these things, and the best techniques for teachers to employ within the ESA method using the boomerang, straight arrow, and patchwork structures in the examples.To me, this unit involved a lot of pronunciation myself to get the concepts down. I found myself practicing fricative vs. alveolar vs. nasal sounds, etc. This unit was extremely eye opening cause I never knew how the rise and fall of sounds affects what we are trying to express to people. I also learned a ton about the phonetic alphabet and how to use it.
