Pat from Malaysia is living and working as an accountant in Singapore. In her TEFL review video Pat tells us how she has been considering teaching English as a new career, which is why she decided to take the 120-hour online course with tutor support and videos from ITTT. The unit clarified a lot of grammatical points by explaining the foundation of sentence formation. I had forgot a lot of rules, and re-discovered how plentiful were irregular forms in English. I feel more confident now if I have to explain why something should be formed in a certain way. Before this refresher, many time my explanations might have fell short.In Unit 7 I focused a lot on learning about the activate stage, this to me seems like one of the most important parts of learning. The activate stage puts what the students are learning to action and I believe that is is one of the best ways that students learn. Role-play, debate, and pair discussion are things that have helped me in my learning experiences.
