This unit covered conditional and reported speech. The conditional form was quite straight forward and that teaching it to an advanced group of learners wouldn't be so difficult. However, the reported speech was much more confusing. I am certain that I make grammatical errors when I use reported speech. It took me a while to figure out the time expressions.Learning grammar in teaching is one of the basic but the most important. You have to master the Parts of speech before you proceed in teaching English as a Second language. Englis grammar has rules and those rules are needed to be followed especially in written English. Having the knowledge of these parts of speech is indeed an important factor in teaching.
