Although initially confident that her English speaking ability meant that she didn’t need to take a course to learn how to teach, she soon discovered the importance of earning a qualification in teaching English.

This unit is mainly about mythologies in teaching English language. You learn about all the different kinds of theories and methods for varies levels and situations. However, I think the most important thing in teaching is to teach according to the students need and be flexible in class. Furthermore, the teacher should always keep the class engaging and fun.I learnt how to integrate Engage, Study, Activate into the lesson plan. I know the steps to creating a fun lesson which is also beneficial for the students. I also learnt that in order for students to speak up during lessons, I have to encourage the students to speak up during pair work or group work. I also have to avoid sensitive topics during discussion.
