I have a very difficult time with explaining parts of speech while teaching English. I will need to keep this whole unit in my classroom for further reference! The section on how to spot a countable or uncountable noun is very helpful; many of my students have trouble with this, and the explanation offered is much easier to use than my standard explanation.This unit was a bit more challenging as it brought together several units to test my ability to recognize the simple structures of the English language. However, this unit demonstrated the importance of concepts that allow of more formal and informal approaches to speech as well as how to diagnose the sentence to better understand its structure and meaning.
