This unit is based on grammar, it identifies the eight parts of speech. Every speech consists of sentences and sentences consist of words. Each word falls into a class called part of speech (verbs, nouns, adjectives etc.). This study has generally improved my knowledge on the parts of speech, it has also given me more confidence on how to teach it to others.This unit really got us thinking more about what and how we'll be introducing various elements of English into the classroom. The unit reinforced ESA, and gave many examples that will be useful in real life as we confront challenges around introducing vocabulary, structure and usage. Having a common framework and tying everything back to ESA is very helpful.
