This unit goes over the parts of speech. The reader is given an overview of the basics then the material dives into different types, then exceptions. As a native speaker, I don't often think of the parts of speech and how to basically break it down. I needed a reminder in the types and exceptions of nouns and prepositions and to effectively teach students.This unit contained the many parts of speech. From the rules to the exceptions, this was a tremendous reminder of the different parts. I was reminded of many small details that I have forgotten over the years which will be very helpful in teaching English as a foreign language. For example, I forgot all about Gerunds until I read that section in this unit.
