Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Unit Six - Past Tenses gives good examples of different uses of past tenses - even the ones we do not use so often! It gives a clear overview of the differences of the past tenses and the usages. It was difficult to memorize the usages of some of the tenses, like for example past perfect continuous. As the text states, it is not a form that we use frequently!I learned about first lessons and what strategies are good.I learned to not use the book on the first lesson and how to best engage the class.I learned the importance of warmers and how they help set up a successful lesson. I also learned how to set up the class when dealing with different levels, as well as how to manage large classes and reluctant students.
