In this unit, we focused on different types of learners. We also focused on the different types of goals students may have and how to approach them. It is important to always customize lessons to the needs of the varying students. Also, children will need a different approach in learning to adults so it is important to understand the most efficient strategies.It was great learning about the different types of tests so that I now know what their purposes are. For example, a diagnostic test can be done at the beginning of a course to assess what students already know. There are many different types of external exams such as TOEFL which is commonly required for international students studying at American universities.
