Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit I have learnt about ways to evaluate students' knowledge.
I have also learnt about placement, diagnostic, progress, practice, achievement, proficiency tests and external exams.
I found the part where the most common English external examinations were listed very useful, as I wasn't able to find this kind of information in one place before. The unit offers detailed information and clear explanations; even though I don't have problems when using the grammar concepts explained in this unit, I have to be honest and admit that I find it difficult to teach and explain conditionals and reported speech. I will have to focus more on this and the information in this unit is a great starting point.
