Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
The content in this unit was simple but necessary knowledge. Learning about the different types of test/evaluations for students to measure progress as well as how to designate speakers of foreign languages according to their pre-existing knowledge of English. I cannot recommend any improvements for this module, all in all a brief but educating module. This chapter is about receptive skills meaning reading and listening English. It states the differences between reading or listening for entertainment or a purpose. It states ways we can read and listen. It tells us the importance of pre choosing topics and texts that best interest the students. It also shows us how to use receptive skills in a ESA.
